This presentation delves into the Southern Legacy, focusing on the Mississippi Delta, East Texas, Piedmont Regions of the Southern United States, and W.C. Handy, the Father of the Blues.

It also covers Urban Conversion, the Great Migration, and the Roots of Rock and Roll. The course delves into the Chicago Blues Tradition and highlights the legendary blues musician Willie Dixon. A Q&A session is included.

Our Aim
We made a DVD called "Blues 101" to promote Blues music for grades K-12. It has 3 HD videos with Fruteland Jackson and helps educators and artists keep Blues music alive. It also has information on organizing blues in school programs.
